“As a Clean Energy Community, Greenwich is very excited to have been selected to participate in the Solarize Connecticut program. This is a great opportunity for our residents to take advantage of group pricing on a PV solar installation. The Conservation Commission will be working with CEFIA and SmartPower to help launch this new program.”
- Peter Tesei, First Selectman, Greenwich
- Great Incentives!
“After learning the government incentives [would] help with a large portion of the expense, I thought this might be the best time for me…to do something good to help the environment.”
- Saving Money and Reducing Global Warming!
“Not only am I saving money, but I’m doing my part in reducing global warming and making our planet a less polluted place to live.”
- Can’t Wait to See Our Next Utility Bill!
“The system looks great and we can’t wait to see our next utility bill!”
- Saving Money!
“I’ve always wanted to go solar – a good friend of mine had done it and raved about it. So when I bought my house in Greenwich, I got a quote to get the work done. Bottom line, it just wasn’t in the budget. Fast forward 3 years later…when I heard about the Solarize Greenwich program, I jumped right on it. My quote from Renewable Resources was so good (down about 35%) that I signed up immediately. The construction went by in FLASH (believe me, I’ve had lots of construction done, and these guys were light speed). I saved money the first day they flipped the switch!”

- Winners Announced for Renewable Resource’s Solarize Greenwich School Contest
The students in Stanwich’s Intermediate House, grades four through six, are the winners of Renewable Resource’s Solarize Greenwich school contest. They took on the challenge to educate their peers and their community about solar through a student-written song, Solar Energy, set to the tune of We Will Rock You. Speaking to all those gathered, Peter Tesei, First Selectman of the Town of Greenwich, said, “Congratulations on putting forth a creative and inspirational tune to promote solar energy.”
“Stanwich is thrilled to receive this solar system and add it to our STEM efforts. The panels, along with the online analytic monitoring device, will serve as outstanding instructional tools to help our children be ever more mindful stewards of our precious planet,” said Paul Geise, Head of School.
